Women's Cross Country Runs at Harry F. Anderson Invitational

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – At the Harry F. Anderson Invitational on Saturday, the D’Youville women’s cross country team finished 13th of 15 teams in the 5k race.

SUNY Geneseo won the meet as a team. Stonehill was second and Rochester third.

Hannah Kennedy once again was the Saints’ top finisher. The sophomore crossed the line in 93rd with a time of 21:25.5. It is the third time this season that Kennedy paced the Saints.

Megan Deer ran a season-best time in the 5k with a 22:15.3. Deer crossed the line in 118th place.

Riley Burns was third on the Saints on Saturday. The freshman stopped the clock at 22:55.6 to finish 132nd in the 184-runner field. Burns’ time is a season-best by over a minute.

Kaitlyn Furtado and Madeline Fleming were the final two scorers for the Saints on Saturday. Furtado was 160th with a time of 26:17.8 and Fleming was 166th with a 27:50.1.

Up next for the Saints is the Mike Woods Invitational, hosted by SUNY Geneseo, next Saturday.
