The D'Youville baseball team will look to bounce back after a tough weekend as they return to the diamond this weekend for a three-game East Coast Conference series with Queens College (N.Y.) at Hennekens Stadium in Queens, N.Y.

Last Time Out – The Saints hosted Mercy last week and were swept in the three-game set that took place at Gowanda High School in Gowanda, N.Y. Freshman shortstop Alex Dzimian's two-run home run in game two and sophomore catcher Jeremy Glinski's four stolen bases were the lone offensive highlights for the Saints as the Maverick pitching staff held D'Youville to four runs in the three contests.

Tale of the Tape – This weekend's series is the first time the two squads have met since D'Youville joined the Knights in the ECC but will be the only time the Saints see Queens this season.

D'Youville by the Numbers – Glinski paces the Saints at the plate with .400 batting average, senior outfielder/infielder Renato Quinones follows up with a .259 average while Dzimian is batting just one point lower at .258 ... Glinski's 10 stolen bases on through 11 games lead the ECC.

Queens at a Glance – The Knights have had a back-and-forth start to their 2021 campaign. Queens opened with a 7-4 victory over Caldwell University before dropping the nightcap of the doubleheader with the Cougars. Queens moved into conference play, taking two out of three from Bridgeport, accounting for their two league wins this season, before being swept in three games by Molloy last weekend. Teobaldo Estevez leads the Knights' offensive attack with a .381 batting average with two doubles, one triple, and one home run while Andrew Smith holds a .345 average at the dish with three doubles and shares a team-high of six runs batted in.
