BUFFALO, N.Y. – The D'Youville Athletics Department celebrated its annual Athletics Banquet Wednesday night at the College Center Gym. The Saints recognized each team's individual award winners as well as the department's Scholar-Athletes and seniors at the event.
The Scholar-Athlete of the Year award went to the male and female student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average. This year's recipients were Riley Burns from women's cross country and Jeremy Glinski from baseball.
Each team recognized individual athletes for their accomplishments on and off the playing surface. The Most Valuable Player award went to the player whose performance contributed significantly to the team's success. The Most Improved Player award went to the team member whose dedication and effort increased the impact they had on their team from the beginning to the end of the season. The Saint Award went to the team member who impacted their program and department by exhibiting leadership, character, and sacrifice.
