BUFFALO, N.Y. – D'Youville Athletics and NFL Senior Director of Diversity and Inclusion, Sam Rapoport, are hosting the "Lead Her Forward" youth clinic Friday, May 13. The clinic is set to start at 4:00 p.m. The clinic is free and ope to girls ages 4 - 12 within the Buffalo community.
Rapoport was recently names one of Sports Illustrated Most Powerful, Most Influential, and Most Outstanding Women in Sports. She was also included in The Athletics' NFL 40-Under-40. In 2019, Rapoport was awarded the NFL Commissioner's Award, Fortune 40-Under-40, and was recently named one of People Magazine's 25 Women Changing the World. She is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
The clinic is free to the Buffalo community and includes giveaways and activities for the young community to participate in. D'Youville female student-athletes will be in attendance in the hopes to open the eyes of a younger generation to all opportunities within their collective grasp. D'Youville Athletics hopes to empower women and girls to achieve their life's potential using physical activity, as well as a writing workshop to develop teamwork skills, leadership traits, and enhance character building.
The day will be closed out with a celebration of music, food, autographs, and a visit from D'Youville mascots Saint and Maggie.
