Buffalo, NY - The D'Youville men's volleyball team picked up their first home win of the season on Sunday, winning their second match in three tries.
Senior outside hitter Pat Stroh was again one of the best players on the court for the Spartans, leading the team in several statistical categories. Against Hiram on Sunday, Pat led the team with 13 kills, six digs, and tied for the team high four blocks. He added one service ace in the match. The Spartans defeated the Terriers 3-0.
This season, Stroh has continued to build off of an impressive junior season with D'Youville. He leads the team in kills (136), kills/set (4.12), and service aces/set (0.33) and is second in digs (65), digs/set (1.97), and hitting percentage (.307). In seven of 10 matches this season, Pat has recorded double-digit kills and has tallied three double-doubles. In two matches during this season, Stroh has had 21 or more kills.
To begin his Spartan career last year, Pat played in 22 matches, leading the team in kills (303) and kills/set (3.84). He was second in hitting percentage (.207), service aces (27), service aces/set (0.34), and digs (111) while being third in digs/set (1.41). At seasons end, Stroh was named an AMCC First Team All-Conference, NEAC Second Team All-Conference, and D'Youville Male Athlete of the Year.
Pat is a graduate of Hamburg High School and is from Hamburg, NY.
